Hello friends

On Sunday, May 3rd at 2pm I will be leading a tour of the Mary - Allen Neighbourhood. This tour is part of the annual Jane's Walks, in celebration of urban

activist and author Jane Jacobs.

Meet me at Heritage Green, the small park across from Marbles Restaurant at the corner of King and William at 2 pm. I will be holding a "Jane's Walk"

sign. From there we will look at the oldest house in the Region, and walk through Waterloo's first neighbourhood. We will look at the different house styles

and you will find out who originally lived here and what they did. We will end with a look inside the beautiful Church of the Holy Saviour, 33 Allen Street East.

This church is a showpiece for the lovely woodwork that was created by the Globe Furniture Factory.

People are invited for a cup of tea in the church hall after the tour.  I hope to see you at Heritage Green. If you need more information, please contact me. It

looks like it will be a warm, sunny day! Perfect for a stroll through this wonderful neighbourhood.

Tricia
