Position: Sybase, SQL Server DBA

Job Description:
We are looking for aSybase & SQL Server DB Engineer responsible for providing database design solutions to clients across all client LOBs.

• Design , build, test, deploy and develop quality database solutions for new projects consistent with project objectives and client requirements, and follow technology architecture standards
• Create all database objects from design to implementation
• Design and implement database solutions/processes that maximize system availability, efficiency/ effectiveness and minimize/prevent problems/ issues

Education/Accreditations:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Must have 8+ years Sybase & SQL Server DBA working experience.
• Sybase and/or MS MCDBA certification

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Expert knowledge of Query Language and Data Definition Language of supported DBMS
• Advanced knowledge of supported DBMS including high availability and performance functions and features
• Advanced knowledge of utilities, tools and techniques required to maintain databases and improve availability and/or performance
• Advanced knowledge of DBMS storage options and scripting or job control language
• Advanced knowledge of related operating system components, physical and logical database design, data modeling techniques, DBMS client application programming, and Systems Development Life Cycle methodology
• Sound knowledge of DBMS technology trends
• Works independently as the senior DBA and coaches team members within area of expertise
• Performs database query tuning for complex queries and advanced database instance tuning
• Designs, recommends and implements high availability database environments
• Advises on DBMS security policies and guidelines; articulates and recommends DBMS monitoring requirements
• Administers/supports the largest database environments
• Provides leadership by training other team members and may supervise a team of DBAs
• Recognized as a subject matter expert and consults with clients/ project team; provides technical guidance and recommends solutions
• Researches industry standards, best practices and new innovations in database administration and makes recommendations
• Performs complex problem determination including data gathering and analysis; implements circumventions as necessary; and takes ownership of problem resolution.

Position: Advisory Application Developer (Sybase, Unix, T-SQL)
Position Type: 6-month contract

Job Description:
Working with wide range of internal and external contacts and a highly skilled team of technical and business experts, the Advisory Application Developer will be leading the design, development and integration activities in cross-functional, multi-platform application systems with primary focus on Sybase, Unix ksh and T-SQL development.

•Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interface with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs.
Develop related design patterns artifacts to be used within Wealth Management Technology
•Provide estimates for assigned work packages to support the development of time tables and project plans; analyze and estimate feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs. Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved.
•Coordinate coding, testing , implementation, integration and documentation of solution. Develop program specifications.
•Perform complex applications programming activities. Code, test, debug, document, maintain, and modify complex applications programs.
Maintain integrity of Wealth coding assets via code reviews and other relevant processes.
