Position Title	Accounting Analyst (temporary 12 months)
Responsibilities	Preparation of the working papers for the year end audit and work closely with external auditors for both the interim and year end audit and review of the Corporate financial systems’ (SAP, Class, Deposit system) processes and internal controls Development, design, testing and acceptance testing for changes/improvements/upgrades to the Corporate financial systems Maintain and review internal controls to ensure the data integrity of the Corporate financial systems; provide recommendations for improvement Work closely with user community and consultants to support growth and sustainability of the Corporate financial systems, resolve discrepancies in accounting systems and provide financial information required for operational decisions and budget process System administration of Corporate financial systems Review, analysis and reconciliation of financial information ensuring full compliance with the provisions of Public Sector Accounting Board standards, legislative requirements and Corporate policies and procedures Administration of various Accounting processes such as Banking, Contracts, Sales Tax and Tangible Capital Assets Review, develop/update and document business systems, processes and policies; recommend and implement policy and process changes Participate in cross functional teams/projects Creation and development of financial reports and queries Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements	Must be reliable with good attitude and employment record. Must successfully complete a medical examination if required. Must have the ability to support and project values compatible with the organization. Must have a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting/financial capacity and have an in depth understanding of GAAP and PSAB with the ability to apply to specific circumstances Must possess highly developed computer skills, particularly in the use of advanced spreadsheets, word processing, databases and report writers Must have experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP Financial, Controlling, Materials Management and Asset Accounting modules Must have experience in the preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements, detailed or non structured financial analysis and reconciliations Must have previous experience in system development, design and testing Must have demonstrated the ability to lead projects of various terms and complexities Must be an effective communicator Must be able to work independently
