As Manager, Engineering Construction you will be responsible and accountable for the contract administration and quality assurance of a wide variety of municipal infrastructure renewal initiatives, which includes roads, bridges, sewers, stormwater management, watermains, pumping stations and municipal environmental remediation programs.

You will be accountable to ensure the delivery of engineering quality assurance, engineering material testing, project management and contract administration services during the construction and commissioning phases of municipal infrastructure projects.
You will lead and inspire a team of employees, while ensuring that they work in a safe, productive and effective work environment. You will have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, apply sound project management techniques, cooperatively work within and manage multi-disciplinary teams, and network with other industry stakeholders. Moreover, you possess highly developed communication skills - oral and written - to clearly articulate complex engineering issues to the general public.
You have a 3 year degree/diploma in a related field plus a Certified Engineering Technologist OACETT designation and a minimum of 7 years experience in engineering, you have extensive knowledge of engineering design techniques, infrastructure construction methods, trenchless technology applications and familiarity with environmental remediation techniques and governing regulations. You will have experience with developing budgets, cost estimating, and business planning.
Overall, you will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary engineering team that ensures that infrastructure renewal programs are delivered in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner for the citizens of the City of Kitchener.
Salary: $84,105 - $105,130 per annum
